My son got looked up for some domestic violence type nonsense. Does he need a lawyer for this type of silly stuff?
Depending on the county, he may or may not need a lawyer. I would need a lot more information to really give you the proper advice.
However, in general there are two solid rules about your question in general.
First, you have a right to represent your self in any criminal trial. its called pro se.
Second, the old saying goes that a lawyer who represents himself has a fool for a client. In other words, you don't cut your hair, nor do you give yourself stitches?
Go get somebody for the kid before he winds up with a criminal record.
